Solar Installer
Starlight Solar is a full-service installer of affordable solar solutions. As the renewable industry has seen massive growth over the past couple of years our company has seen exponential growth and must keep up with the growing demand for solar energy in the residential and commercial space. Our team of experts is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and support to our customers.
In this role, you will be a part of a crew that is responsible for installing solar systems on residential properties. The ideal installer is hard-working, motivated by meeting goals, and enjoys working with their hands. This is a good position for someone who has prior construction and/or roofing experience, thrives working with a team, and takes pride in their work.
Job Duties:
The ideal candidate will be an integral member of a solar installation crew, working on residential and commercial properties. The Solar Installer with their crew will ensure accurate and timely solar installations are conducted. Safety is key so the candidate will be briefed on best installation and safety practices and is expected to use them throughout the process.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare jobsite ensuring all material is on site.
- Assist with electrical wiring of energy products.
- Installing racking system per manufacturer's specifications and customer's plans set.
- Assemble equipment and properly seal all roof penetrations
- Installing DC and AC equipment per plans and local codes.
- Commissioning and testing the site or individual components once the project is installed.
- Ensure the site is clean after project completion.
- Assisting with other duties as assigned by Crew Lead.
Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers License and Clean MVR are required to drive company vehicles.
- Valid OSHA 10
- Apprentice Electrical License, preferred
- Electrical Experience, recommended
- Residential solar installation experience preffered but not required.
Requirements:
- Ability to learn quickly and follow procedures
- Experience working outdoors under various weather conditions
- Working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs
- Performing repetitious duties such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time with proper breaks
- Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (50-100 pounds frequently throughout assigned workday)
- Excellent documentation skills
Solar Energy Consultant
Starlight Solar is seeking a self-motivated and driven sales consultant to add to our Houston team. As the renewable industry has seen massive growth over the past year our company has seen exponential growth and must keep up with the growing demand for solar energy in the residential and commercial space. We are looking to expand our sales team while maintaining our customer service-centric attitude.
Job Description:
The Energy Consultant will be expected to drive to the company set appointments from warm leads. The Consultant will be responsible for qualifying the customer’s needs, building proposals, and closing/contracting the customer. The Consultant must be willing to place outbound calls, educate potential clients while building rapport, and be comfortable scheduling both in-person and virtual consultations. The Consultant will have a full staff to help support their existing customers after contracting through the installation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for conducting customer consultations within the residential sector.
- Educating the customer in all aspects of the solar industry and the system they intend to implement.
- Participating in lead generation through various channels and means.
- Additionally, calling out to potential buyers and maintaining sales cycle between new business and existing customer.
- You are expected to collaborate with each department throughout the company to establish clean lines of communication and improve overall efficiencies as a project moves from point of sale to installation.
- Your schedule is flexible and you are the master of your time and energy. We expect you to regularly and actively contribute to the success of the team and business.
Compensation:
This position is 100% uncapped commission-based with unlimited earning opportunities. With a full-time commitment, you can expect to earn $150,000-$325,000+ per year.
We will provide you with 1-2 weeks of training and additional supervision as you grow into the role. Our dedicated Sales Manager will be available for mentorship and guidance with a focus on personal and professional development. We will seek to help you grow and compete with our more senior employees.
Qualifications:
- 1-3+ years of sales experience

- Experience with various CRMs a plus but not required
